Caitlin is local to the Waterloo Region, but a fresh face in the Cambridge legal scene. She is a proud Queen’s Alumna (Cha Gheill!) and received her JD from Sir John A. MacDonald Hall in 2016. Being partial to both rules and reading, she took quickly to solicitor-related courses and even received the award for academic excellence in Wills and Estate Planning. Even prior to attending Queen’s University, Caitlin had a penchant for the law. She attended University of Waterloo for her bachelor of the arts degree, and walked away with a major in Legal Studies and a minor in English Language and Literature.
Even as a newer member of the bar, Caitlin comes with a diverse set of experiences from her terms as both a summer and articling student at a full-practice, national firm in Waterloo. During that time she gained experience in a wide range of corporate, commercial, and litigation related matters.
With a general love for the law, Caitlin is particularly inclined towards the areas of estates, wills and succession planning, real estate, labour and employment law, and corporate law. Caitlin also has considerable experience in a variety of litigation. Caitlin’s passion for solicitor work reflects both her interest in business and love for her local community. She has a genuine interest in joining committees, participating in local charities, and sitting on boards.
When she manages to get out of the suit and away from the office, Caitlin is an avid rock-climber, crafter and vocalist. She also enjoys making passable attempts at playing golf, volleyball and curling, and makes for an excellent squash opponent if your ego is in need of a boost.
